This course intends to prepare participants to solve, in a simple and practical way, operations and transport logistics problems using MS Solver within Excel spreadsheets. Different examples of operations (mainly related to planning) and transportation problems will be worked on. Four categories of transport network problems will be addressed: (a)Designation, (b) Least (Minimum) Path, (c) Maximum Flow, (d) Network (in General). In the last part of the program, students will also learn what sensitivity analysis is and how it can be made in Excel. As a result, this course will prepare professionals to easy and quickly implement and solve operations and transport logistics problems, which will, consequently, help their companies streamline production and transportation capacity and investments, getting more value from their money, better meeting due dates and product quality, increasing, at the same time, employees and customer satisfaction.
